Liliana Becerra is a curator, best-selling author and design visionary, pioneering in research, development and implementation of emotive aesthetics, merging sensory design with technology to create multidimensional experiences.

Through her consulting practice, she advises clients on detecting and articulating intangible and ever-changing notions of meaning, value and semantics, into aesthetic elements that can be touched, felt, seen and perceived as an overall experience.

Her clients range in industries including health and wellbeing, food and beverage, aircraft, space and automotive interiors, consumer electronics, home & office furnishings, as well as cultural and educational institutions around the world.

She is the Author of soft Design, Aesthetic Experience at the Intersection of Material, Technology and Interaction published by Routledge in 2025, and the best-seller CMF Design, The Fundamental Principles of Color, Material and Finish Design published by Frame in 2016.

She is a guest writer to influential design and architecture publications including Viewpoint Colour, Viewpoint Design and Bitacora Urbano. She curates and writes artist monographs and frameworks for contemporary art exhibitions.

Liliana has over 20 years of experience working as a professor and visiting lecturer in international colleges and universities including: Royal College of Art, Art Center College of Design, Tama Art University, NABA Milano, Domus Academy, College for Creative Studies, Arizona State University, Lapland University, National University of Colombia and University of Chile, among others.
